Angsty stories

Not With a Bang But With a Whimper

No horror, no implied tenticle sex, no hacking off of limbs and very little whacking. There is, however, a strange numbering system and lots of DVD extras. Quite sad. In this story House goes too far, pays the price and it is up to Wilson to help bring him back: http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3045997/1/ Very long. Strong House/Wilson friendship - and an OC rat with no name.

In The Mouth Of Madness

I wrote this little story called Weird Creepy Rehab Story: http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3261112/1/ Nice and short.

The lovely Alex51324 read Weird Creepy Story and decided that House really needed to get better so he wrote this brilliant story called Post Trauma: http://alex51324.livejournal.com/20579.html Very long.

I decided that what House really needed was 1950's B Grade movie villains walking out of their films, implied tenticle sex, evil since the dawn of time... that sort of thing - and wrote a horror story called In The Mouth of Madness:

“That one,” said Luersson pointing to the picture. “That’s the one I want. He’ll be fun. There’s no point to it if it isn’t fun,” he says.

http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3275918/1/

One Blind House

“You can see,” said Cuddy incredulously.

“Of course he can’t,” hissed Wilson.

“I heard that.” House waggled the whiskey bottle he was holding at the television. “That… is a vicious rumour, spread by malcontents and Chase.”

See how he runs:  http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2993920/1/  Middling length and Cameron gets to play the part of a seeing eye labradoodle. Strong House/Wilson friendship.

Quickies... (200 - 2000 words)

A Tale of Two Bastards

Finally I can say HouseSLASHWilson. House's dad finds out he is gay:
http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3279853/1/ Written for Crypty's House and Wilson fest (2007). No TEH HAWT man sex unfortunately.

Dream Jimmy

http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2971161/1/ A very short exploration of House and Wilson's screwed up friendship.

But if you think that was too short the lovely Blackmare expanded it:
http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3408001/1/

Pass The Pretzels

Sometimes a friendship can last a very long time:
http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3015392/1/ More House and Wilson bestest bestest buds...

Game, Set and Match

http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3247220/1/ Tritter wins, but House makes his mark on the world in more than one way.

He Was Right

http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3291384/1/ Tritter wins, but House also wins in the end too.

That about covers all the depressing stories. For the fun ones check out the Happy Zany stories and the Zombie Lurve links - and The Contractverse.

That one's not very good. I don't like it at all. Substanded writing and riddled with typos. Maybe one day there will be hope for this writer.

*Shakes head* Oh, sheep. When will you learn. We still like you though *g*

The irony is I loathe contract law. Dull as dishwater if you ask me - but handy for scaring tradesmen.

Oh wow, I never knew it grew like this. I remember reading The Contract ages ago on FFnet, and (sorry, I'm like it in life) finding it too hard for my brain to cope with, but also realising it was an amazingly well written piece.

WOW! The authors you've inspired - it's wonderful. I'll need to set aside a whole morning/afternoon and read it all in one go, and then maybe go drinking afterwards, but anyway, I'm memming this page.

(soz for the icon, it was the most appropriate one i could find out of 105!)

OOOHH!!
I thought he was a priest... maybe the question wasn't clear enough...
I meant Thompson... SORRY SHEEP!

(But Thompson didn’t seem to hear him. He just leaned in closer. “You know something Greg; you are right. It should be up to God. He should make you should burn in hell for all eternity.” The priest shook his head and House realized this guy was mad as a meat axe.)

hmmm...

You are both right.

Thompson was actually a business man, but came to see House in prison disguised as a priest.

His 'emissary' was the lawyer - he was the dude who did the dirty work.

But the question I got wrong was why House was drenched by Cuddy. It wasn't that he was doing cocaine. It was more that he tried to drown what 'happened' (if you get the drift of my evil little mind) the night before in lots of lots of alcohol (and maybe drugs too) and didn't come into work so she goes over to his place to check up on him.

But it is a tad confusing because I was trying to be really ambiguous.

I went back and took my Die Another Day James Bond quiz and flunked that one too.

I know this is really wierd but you're kind of a celebrity!! I mean if I saw you I would be just as excited as if I saw Hugh or Lisa :)
... ok that was kind of starker-ish... lol

Sorry, that i got the question kind of wrong...

I was going off of the following:
("Pain is my constant companion, he thought dreamily as he stood in the shower washing off the blood. Vicodin is my bestest bestest friend. Scotch is church on Sunday. Cocaine is a presidential visit.")

You made my day Sheep!

Oh yes Freakin, House was definitely doing cocaine to be able to keep working, but there was a very specific reason he didn't come in that day.

I have met Kennedys, Bushes, and celebrities, but the one time I turned into a dribbling idiot was when I was working in a second hand bookshop and Clive James the Australian writer turned up to but ballet books. I had been reading and rereading his books since I was eight and I just couldn't put a coherent sentence together and I was shaking like a leaf.

He must have thought I was a nong brain.

I think that if I met anyone remotely famous I would trip over my own tongue!

There are a lot of Kennedys you know. And they all shag like bunny rabits.

My one was JFK's nephew who is an actor. I interviewed him a couple of years back and we totally hit it off and we still keep in touch and talk left wing politics.

Amazing set of teeth is all I can say about Chris. I can really see why there are so many Kennedys - they are charming - real Martha's Vinyard type psuedo aristocracy.

And as to wibbling (which is what I did with Clive) I think it depends on how you think about them. Tom Cruise can just get knotted in my books, but I'd be goggling in awe at Douglas Adams (if he were still alive).

And as to cool: I think that is a bit relative. One of the coolest people I knew (apart from Fred the crazed Austrian director) was an actor called John Dommet. He was so sweet and so crazy bad assed cool it had to be seen to be believed. I wibbled quite a bit around him even though his greatest claim to fame was being a voice coach on some soap opera. He died tragically too young, but he gave me one of his shirts and whenever I wear it I think of John Dommet and I smile because he was soo tres cool.

Yes - one is a bit iffy. You should have seen the scrutiny I got for my Die Another Day quiz - people questioning it left right and centre. It got to the point where I said 'look - just because you weren't paying attention in the final scene because you were oggling Jinx's breats doesn't mean I wasn't'.

My litle Shitzu saw Mr V the other day and it was love at first sight. She really really wants to eat him.

She has very bad back legs and normally won't jump, but if I dangle him in front of her she bounces up and down like a dog possessed. Fortunately I am faster and Mr V has not perished in the Shitzu jaws of doom.
